While some babies latch on with absolutely no assistance and never need an ounce of direction, most new mothers do need and want nurturing and supportive guidance around breastfeeding. The majority of women in the US are not receiving appropriate postpartum breastfeeding care after birth. Too many women are going home from the hospital and suffering through either short-term or more complex long-term nursing problems that are often easily helped. (Ask me how I know!) If this is your experience, you are not alone, and there is help! And if I can’t help, I will connect you with someone who can.
